The Pain Management Clinic, part of the Anesthesia Department, at SSH provides possibly the most ultra-modern and sophisticated pain management service in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Using state-of-the-art technology, coupled with an excellent team of physician anesthesiologists, technicians, and biomedical engineers, the aim of the Pain Management Clinic is to abolish pain, both acute and chronic, in our patients.
The clinic will treat all types of pain, including cancer pain. A Chronic Pain Clinic provides expertise in the management of chronic pain, including through the use of pain relief devices. Some types of chronic pain that are managed at the clinic are:
1. Migraines
2. Chronic headaches
3. Low back pain
4. Neuropathy
5. Cancer pain (pain caused by malignant tumors)
6. Neck pain
Conservative treatment is the first choice for pain management however if this fails it may be necessary to perform an interventional procedure under fluoroscopy guidance in the Operating Room.
